Business & Fishing Road Trip: Part 1 – Brookies in River Yu
I was having a client meeting in Utusnomiya, Tochigi for lighting product, and I had to visit another client for fly fishing product. It would be a waste to make several round trips, so I put them all together into one trip including stopping by fisheries on my way.
After I finished the first meeting, I headed to River Yu and stayed a night in my camper van off Akanuma Teahouse waiting for their license office to open in the morning.
I usually start fishing from the most downstream section where rock bed has holes hiding large fish, then usually bypass the chalk stream section going all the way upstream where river runs through a forest.
This day, I caught enough agreeable size in downstream section.
