Miyake Island – Izu Archipelago, Tokyo
Miyake Island is located 175km south of Tokyo metropolitan area and 18km north of Mikura Island.
It holds active volcano, Mt. Oyama, which makes large part of island’s interior off limit.
Exterior of the island consists of larva rock reef and black sand beaches.
2 major ports, Sabigahama Port and Miike Port, have enough depth to attract open water species.
