Global Angler – Hama-san’s Case
We had farewell party to Hama-san moving to Hong Kong at the end of this month for new opportunity in this age of globalization. Some of my friends have made similar moves and it makes me wonder maybe this is finally the time Japanese should consider something other than being an islander.
I spent 10 years in US myself, and the most difficult part of being Japanese abroad was how to look after each other beyond the boundary of social class or interest. Social Club or Church is one answer, but I believe passion for fishing is another gem that can unite people beyond all else.
I wish the best for Hama-san who will no doubt bring new light to game fishing around HK soon.
