CDC Thorax Dun – Dry

2012/4/1 CDC Thorax Dun – Dry

Mayfly can be found in mountain streams from March to November. Small ones about hook size #20-18 are found throughout the year in streams near Tokyo.

In pool or still water with high clarify, fish can tell the hook point. Gamakatsu C15-B let you tie the same pattern upside down.

Hook: #18-14
Tail: hackle fiber
Body: dry fly dubbing – grey or olive
Wing: CDC natural
Hackle: cock neck saddle (after wrapping, trim off the bottom side)

I often substitute tail and body with pheasant tail which never misses.
