Lake Yamanaka is one of 5 alpine lakes surrounding Mount Fuji and feeding to the great Sagami River flows into Sagami Gulf.

Largemouth bass, bluegill, carp, dace, and Japanese smelt.

Lake is open to fishing from 1 March to the 3rd sunday in December

Bank fishing is not too bad, but I strongly recommend to take the benefit of boating. Due to the shallowness of this lake, it is critical to get good information at boathouse then head for that point.
